We were already a camper in Scandinavia and the Netherlands now our destination is the United Kingdom and our offer of a 5-day trip.

Day 1 and 2 departure and arrival in the Lake District

We start our journey in the Dutch Hook of Holland from where we take the Stena Line ferry to Harwich port in the UK. Here you can find a link to the website where you can check when and at what times the cruises on the route take place: https://www.stenaline.nl/. The cruise time is 6,5 hours. We can of course take our motorhome on board ; -)

Once there, we head towards the Lake District. It is the largest and most beautiful national park in England, known mainly for its numerous lakes, beautiful mountains and charming villages. Here we can easily stop at one of the numerous campsites, which are located by picturesque lakes. While in the Lake District, it is worth stopping for two days to take a boat to one of the surrounding lakes, e.g. Windermere. Windermere. There’s a really charming place!

Day 3 Yorkshire Dales

On the third morning after breakfast, we head to Yorkshire Dales. It is a place where we can admire numerous valleys and waterfalls. It is also worth going to the city of York, where we can visit a beautiful, old, Gothic cathedral. We also have something for history lovers! The Jorvik Viking Center is a place where you can see what the Viking life was like.

Day 4 Yorkshire Dales

Another day of our tour is on the famous Coast to Coast tourist route, which leads from the Irish Sea coast to the North Sea coast. Along the way you can admire a variety of landscapes. After an intensive day of sightseeing, we go to the campsite or enjoy the wild campsite. Here it is worth mentioning that in some places in the UK a wild campsite is allowed, but it is important to comply with local regulations.

Day 5 Return to the Netherlands

And our last day, the day of returning to the Netherlands. After a fruitful tour we go towards Harwich harbor from where we ferry Steny Lina back to Hook of Holland.

Of course, if time allows us you can stay in England for more days and visit other interesting and beautiful places. This is only our offer for people who want to change their surroundings and discover new places for a few days!!!
