They are more flexible, which facilitates the natural movement of the foot during the wander. Fast drying is also an important feature and a large plus of hiking shoes. They are often made of materials that dry faster when wet, which is practical during one-day trips. We should also not forget about good ventilation – hiking shoes provide better air circulation, which is particularly important during summer hikes.
