Don’t you have an idea for a short camper trip with a cruise? How about a 3-day camper trip to the Tri-City in Poland??? A short trip during which you will have the opportunity to visit 3 Polish cities: Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot.
How to get to Tricity as soon as possible by camper? Of course, by ferry. Most of the ferry connections from Sweden to Poland are operated by Stena Line – here is a link to Stena Line’s Poland routes. Two popular routes are Karlskrona-Gdynia or Ystad-Gdynia. The cruise lasts a few hours and is a great opportunity for us to relax and gain strength before further travel and active sightseeing!
When it comes to accommodation. In the vicinity of Tricity there are many campsites that offer us various amenities. You can choose from campsites located by the sea, in the forest or near the city. Below are some of our suggestions:
- Campsite Orłowo – is located at the beach, thanks to which we can admire beautiful views of the sea – Visit Orłowo
- Campsite Marina Gdańsk – is located in the marina, thanks to which you can take advantage of attractions related to sailing – Visit Marina Gdańsk
- Campsite Sopot – located in a quiet area camping near Sopot – Visit Sopot Camping
If you are going on a camper, a campsite, especially in the summer season, it is worth booking in advance so that we do not have to look for something at the last minute.
What is worth seeing while in Tri-City?
As mentioned earlier, the Tricity is a combination of three cities: Gdynia, Gdańsk and Sopot. Each of them is different, but in each of them there are many attractions! Certainly, everyone who comes here will find something for themselves.
Gdansk
The first place in Gdańsk that every tourist must visit is the Old Town, including: the symbol of the Gdańsk Crane – the former port crane and the vibrant heart of this city – the Long Market with the famous Neptune Fountain.
A must-see is Westerplatte, the place where World War II began. While on the spot, we can see the remains of the battles, such as the ruins of the barracks, the guardhouse or the monument commemorating the heroic defenders.
Sopot
From Gdańsk, we go by our camper to the seaside resort – Sopot. Take a walk at the longest wooden pier in Europe. The second well-known place in Sopot is the Monte Cassino promenade, which houses numerous restaurants, shops and cafes. On the street there is a Crooked House – it is an original building, which is very popular among tourists. It is also worth taking a walk to the Forest Opera, which hosts various music festivals.
Gdynia
If you love the natural world, we recommend the Gdynia Aquarium, a place where you can admire the underwater world: coral reefs or various species of fish. Then, as part of a walk, you can go to Kosciuszki Square, a popular place for relaxation.
If you have more time to relax on one of the beaches here! And after such a fruitful journey we can return by ferry Steny Line to Sweden!
